A Head for Fashion by Anna Halldin-Maule
You won’t believe me when I tell you this, but these are paintings. These oil-on-canvas pieces are based on photographs taken by Anna Halldin-Maule.
I find the imagery extremely provocative; the paintings seem to imply that the explicitly sexual nature of high-fashion can at times brand us, as seen in one of the pieces of a woman crying, with high-end designer names sprawled across her naked body. Another hard hitting image, of a naked woman with her head completely encompassed in a Louis Vuitton, perhaps lending itself to the idea that our minds have been tken over by materialistic thoughts and desires…
I may be looking too far into these pieces, but nevertheless, they evoke a certain allure that I couldn’t pass up…

Hardhitting: adidas Originals Hardland
When exquisite colorways come my way, I find it hard to pass up a possible purchase. The adidas Originals brand has newly released this “Hardland” model, and it has gained popularity amongst sneakerhead heavy-hitters and sneaker-dabblers alike. The white, purple and aqua colorway lends a sporty feel with a classic edge, while the snakeskin material on the uppers lends a contemporary feel to this obviously indescribable shoe. And who can pass up the large purple trefoil?
Those who dig a dope logo and an even doper colorway should definitely scoop this model, but if you prefer a more subdued look, skip this model and/or colorway and wait for the next release, sure to please your insatiable sneaker habit.
