Everyone’s favorite newcomer, Lara Stone, stars in a brilliantly dark noir editorial for Vogue Italia. I especially appreciate Lara Stone’s newfound popularity because she is more buxom and curvaceous than the supermodels we have grown accustomed to. Don’t get me wrong, she is still thin by all standards, but I love the fact that she can, if you will, “fill out a dress.”
This editorial is one of my favorites in the past month or so. I had my black&white editorial phase, which I still adore, but the noir feeling to this shoot brings a nice change in mood; still dark for fall, but the presence of the rich colors (in the ensembles, the makeup, the backdrop) make for an altogether beautiful editorial.
