Clare Tough had an extremely successful first collection of knitwear, but this collection blows her last out of the water. SHe has been featured in many mags, especially Vogue UK. These knits are mixed with stronger silhouettes and peeks of leather here and there, which creates a powerful aesthetic while remaining feminine. Her collection is available around the globe, including Paris, London, Milan and Tokyo. What about my closet, Miss Tough?

It seems I am crushing on everyone these days. However, this model, from Melbourne Australia, has a truly captivating and exotically rugged look that is appealing to me and I am sure many designers, women, photographers, and male ooglers. She can hold her own on any page and is a breath of fresh air amongst the blondies.

These days, the foreign issues of Vogue get all of the fun and art-filled covers. Here in the US, we get airbrushed celebs and headshots. Where has the creativity gone, Anna Wintuor? Where?

Here is a look back at some lovely covers over the past few decades. I want to write a letter to Ms. Wintour and demand more edge, darkness, art…fashion.

Somedays I need art/photographs to inspire my creative thinking for other areas of my life. The two may seem unrelated, but I am now trying to write my personal statement for graduate school applications, and viewing art and fashion oddly spurs better writing for me. Weird? I think (not).

I am simply making a call to my Muse(es for the day).

It is no wonder that the second women see a wrinkle they dash to the plastic surgeon and ask for everything in the brochure. We should be ashamed of ourselves, magazine editors/photography editors; displaying unrealistic images, like these of an obviously altered Demi Moore, is simply misleading and unethical. Demi Moore, besides having already had plastic surgery, has been further altered and perfected via the obvious airbrushing and photoshopping performed for this shoot. Don’t get me wrong; she is a beautiful woman. And for that reason she should be shown in all her true beauty. People age. It’s life. Older women all complain about the stigma of youth and appearing young, but it is because images such as these that this identity crisis takes place.

SHE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A MANNEQUIN! Can we release magazines accordingly?

After days of women’s fashion and focus, I often remember that our male counterparts need attention too. Therefore, as I do for the ladies, I have made a list of items to covet for the gentles. Taking sneakers to a new level, these new Nike Terminator Highs, which are Tier Zero releases for those of you planning on scoping the country for a pair, are dope for sure. The crocodile-sneaker look can get a little over-the-top if released in crazy colorways and intricate designs, but these Terminator Highs are relaitvely simple and subdued. So gents, if wearing these lovelies, make sure to keep the rest of the fit simple and clean or you may end up looking like a p.i.m.p, and not in a good way.
