Coveting: Alexander McQueen Marilyn Skull Tank

And the reason I am coveting? Because this dope but nevertheless basic tank is a sky-high 264$ …And um…I don’t want to put all of my personal business out there, but that would deplete half of what I have to my name right now. So I covet from afar…

Hellz Bellz Fall Delivery II – "Midnight Riders" Lookbook

Yaaay! One of my favorite alternative/streetwear brands for the ladies has released yet ANOTHER dope collection for us ladies to drool over. The lookbook follows some of the high fashion brands we’ve seen so far with a dark look: a strong eyebrow and near-black purple lips. I love this brand because they always manage to stay relevant without being a slave to trends. They take a trend and tweek it to make it uniquely theirs. It is a difficult balance to reach and yet it is effortless for them every season.

Check it out. And stay tuned to sites like Karmaloop and 80′s Purple for these items to pop up. I seriously want every single item on here. Every one.

Sass & Bide Spring 2010 Runway

When we think of spring, we think of collections like Proenza Schouler or Max Azria. However, Sass & Bide had a different idea in mind; strong prints, and bronze details make for more of a warrior look than that of the cliché flower-power girl we associate with spring. However, there is the ever-present 80′s silhouette which seems to be sticking around for another season. Here are my favorite pieces. A literaly breath of fresh for spring.

Rihanna – Trend Alert – Tutu Inspired Clothing

After I posted the editorial with Kate Moss below and i noticed she wore a tutu, I could not help but to post Rihanna in another tutu inspired ensemble, although her look is far more rocker and way less ballet. The leather studded over-the-knee boots (don’t mistake those for leggings!) offset the potentially fluttery and ultra-feminine top. I’m still on a mission ti find out WHO made the top. It is a practical way to wear a trend this season. Loves it.

P.S. In light of Halloween…Check out her spider ring! Scary-chic.

Dealers of the Purple Cloth – Fall/Holiday 2009 Lookbook

The sassy and outside-the-box alternative women’s apparel brand has a sexy Holiday collection that makes me want it all in my stocking. (Does that sound bad?) We see the recurrence of plaid this season, which made its re-appearance last season, and we also have a few pieces that incorrporate the ever-so-now trend of lace.  With some of the other pieces I get the cabaret vibe: tuxedos and tophats ring a bell?

The Fall delivery ships next Monday, so you can find it at retailers including Karmaloop towards the end of the week. Also, check out their newly updated website as well —- www.purplecloth.com

Kate Moss, Naomi Campell, and Lily Donaldson for Oct. Vogue UK

How lucky: little miss Lily Donaldson (who recently bought a 22 million dollar home in New York), a relative newcomer to the runway scene when compared to Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, gets to pose and play with pros in this multi-dimensional editorial shot by Mario Testino. I noticed Kate Moss had on the ridiculously high Nina Ricci lace-ups, and I cannot help but admit that the 30-something can still pull anything off; obviously, even a tutu. Enjoy the genius that is Mario Testino as I  pretend to jump in the photos with the three model-phenoms.

Whose solo photo do you love the most?
